Please follow these steps to install and activate Mission News Pro on your site:
Note: Mission News Pro is a plugin that works together with the Mission News theme. Please make sure you install and activate first to use Mission News Pro.
- Visit the Plugins menu in your admin dashboard
- Click the Add New button at the top of the screen
- Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the screen
- Click the Choose File button and select the mission-news-pro.zip file you received after your purchase
- Click the Install Now button
- Once the page reloads, click the Activate Plugin link to activate Mission News Pro
Mission News Pro has now been activated on your site.

I get an error message when I upload Mission News Pro
If you received the following message, this is due to uploading Mission News Pro through the Themes menu:
"The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet."
Mission News Pro should be uploaded through the Plugins menu as described in the steps above.
As a plugin, you don't have to worry about any of the issues that come with switching themes. All of the features will be added automatically without disrupting your site.
I don't have a "zipped" version of Mission News Pro
Some browsers, Safari in particular, will automatically unzip the "mission-news-pro.zip" file and leave you with an "mission-news-pro" folder.
To rezip, right-click the "mission-news-pro" folder and click the "Compress mission-news-pro" option. This will create a new mission-news-pro.zip file you can upload.
I never received a copy of Mission News Pro
Please check your spam folder for an email titled, "Mission News Pro Download & Instructions". There will be a download link at the beginning of that email.
